How to get Jordyn Wood's flawless makeup look!

All drama aside, we can all agree that Jordyn looked AMAZING during her red table talk interview with Jada Smith last week. If you have no idea what I am talking abut, just search up “Jordyn Woods Red Table Talk” and you will see what I mean. Her makeup look was simple and smooth yet entirely flawless. Although it wasn’t anything extraordinary, I was so captivated by her look. How does one manage to look so flawless and seamless? Her face was predominately matte with just the smallest amount of dew and was perfectly highlighted, structured and sculpted. It was a perfectly executed simple look which makes it so wearable to the everyday girl watching. There was no eyeliner nor blinding highlighter involved, just a flawless base and a glossy nude lip. It was a simple full coverage glam with the most natural and innocent feel to it. I loved it so much that I wanted to recreate it and began to search for products that would work well to create it. Below are some products that can help achieve this simple, matte and flawless look.

First lets start with her base. Her makeup look was mostly matte and covered which suggests that we can use matte and full coverage products. Matte products work amazing for those with oily or combo skin. If you are on the dry side, stick to more hydrating and dewy products to avoid looking parched and simply set with powder to achieve the matte look.

Once the base is done, we can move on to bronzer, blush and highlight. Her face was very bronzey and contained a slight tint of blush. She had no highlight on her cheek bones but there was a slight shine on the tip of her nose. The next step would be to softly blend in your bronzer all around the perimeter of your face to bring back some warmth and structure. Then, with the slightest hand, you can apply a bit of blush to help bring forth that youthful glow. To finish it off, take a little bit of a mild highlight and place it on the tip of your nose.

Bronzers + Blush + Highlight:

  1. Too Faced Chocolate Soliel Matte Bronzer

2. Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer

3. Nudestix Nuddies Matte Blush & Bronzer

4. Dose of Colors Desi x Katy Fuego highlighter

5. Fenty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter (left side)

Once all the powders are on, it is time to set them using setting spray. Below are a few of my favorites for achieving a matte look.

Setting spray:

  1. NYX Matte Finish Makeup Setting Spray

  2. Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

    For a bit of dew:

  3. Morphe Continuous Setting Mist

  4. Tacha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

Finishing touches include Mascara (and/ or natural lashes) and a nude lip gloss.

Mascara + Lips:

  1. Lancôme Monsieur Big Mascara

  2. Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara

  3. Fenty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer

  4. Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip
