Often times we as christians (followers of Jesus Christ) believe it is our job to judge others and condemn them to hell because it’s super easy to do. It’s easy to look at someone else in sin and identify them as “unholy” and to judge their every act. But is that what we were called to do? Were we not called to show love to others and to reflect God’s grace and mercy to those around us? How are others supposed to believe that God is love if those who claim to follow him are full of judgement and condemnation?
Be reminded that it is the Holy Spirit who convicts and that ultimately only God will judge us. Yes, we as the church can help each other in identifying what is sin and what needs to be corrected but always with LOVE, not continuous criticism.
if you or anyone you know has ever felt judged or condemn, I want you to know that God loves you and that he is the only one who can judge. Seek him and ask him to guide your every step and to make you better each and every day. As for those of us who follow Christ, let us remember that our job is to show love to those who are hurting the way Christ continuously does to us.
